The LIQUIFLEX-PRO Training Day

A day in the life of a training session for LIQUIFLEX-PRO

Finished demo units covered with LIQUIFLEX-PRO in our training facility in Mauchline
8AM

The start of the morning. Rubberseal staff start appearing early doors to get the warehouse open, ready for the trainees showing up.

Further down, our dedicated LIQUIFLEX-PRO unit is ready to go. Our models are stripped, covered only in our PROVAP vapour control layer, in preparation of the liquid waterproofing system about to go on it.

As the first hour passes, we make sure all the essentials are in. Soft drinks and biscuits, tea and coffee, everything a stereotypical builder would ask for, as we’ve all been there and know the drill ourselves. We don’t sweat the hot food until about half 11.

As the vans pull in and we swap pleasantries, we get a picture taken for the ID cards and take them down to the teaching point with Craig, our resident teacher. The LIQUIFLEX liquid waterproofing system course is starting.

And so the liquid waterproofing system course begins. The lads stand around Craig as he explains how LIQUIFLEX-PRO works and the many benefits it has over other liquid waterproofing systems.

The large model then begins to get covered in the product. Thick brush strokes across it show the quick curing time, as it is waterproof as soon as it hits the deck.

Once Craig finishes his explanation, the rest of the guys get a chance to try it, over his watchful eyes. The words tiger stripes are mentioned a few times, but only he and the contractors know what he’s on about.

As the morning goes on, questions about our liquid waterproofing system are answered, practical hands-on knowledge is gained and as the clock strikes 12, lunch beckons.

LUNCH

This may come as a surprise, but even WE need a break from liquid waterproofing systems, so we get lunch organised, but this is Scotland, so lunch naturally consists (for builders anyway) of rolls and bacon and sausage, with maybe the occasional “tattie” scone for those who want to size up.

As much as we do talk a lot about LIQUIFLEX-PRO, we do like to have our down time too, but these training sessions are a lot like Fight Club, in that whatever is talked about at the sessions usually stays there.

Regardless of what goes on during this period, usually by the end of the day we have everybody talking about how much they are impressed with our membrane. It makes us happy knowing that we are producing a product that is being used often by those that take it up after these training sessions.

With everyone well fed, we press on…

THE AFTERNOON

Now, we could have put a time in, but you know how builder lunches go. They can last a long, long time. Ours aren’t too bad though, and soon after everyone has eaten we’re back onto the practical work and the guys who have turned up to our liquid waterproofing system course  are hard at it layering their model gutters with LIQUIFLEX-PRO.

After a full on demo from Craig, the guys are left to it, as he goes around to double check on their progress.

The beauty of this membrane is that it only requires a small amount of items and an equally small amount of time to put on, which makes it better than a lot of similar products out there, In no time at all the displays are done, tweaks are made, based on Craig’s advice and everyone gets the system.

It is now time to finish up and head home as licensed contractors.

THE END

The models are painted in liquid waterproofing system, the contractors are now licensed (even with van stickers to prove the point) and the Rubberseal staff are now on clean-up duty.

Another day of training is over. We have more people and companies wanting to use the product and as a company, we’re more than happy to back them up and help them out to spread the word about LIQUIFLEX-PRO.

The guys that work here are clearly very proud of the membrane. There have been many training courses done throughout the year and a half since we created LIQUIFLEX-PRO and through these training days and trade shows we still get blown away about how well received our liquid waterproof system is.

We just need to get ready for the next training day, now.
